Museums Victoria is seeking a Marketing Support Officer to fulfil a fulltime, permanent role. We are looking for a dynamic, early career marketer with the passion and initiative to provide social media, general marketing, administrative and operational support to the Marketing and Brand Team. The role will assist with content development that connects with audiences, drives engagement and visitation to our venues. This position assists in upholding the Museums Victoria brand; strengthening its presence in market and ensuring it remains consistent with Museums Victoria’s mission, vision and strategic objectives.

Core duties include:
- Assist the Marketing and Brand Team in the delivery of marketing campaigns and tactical activities
- Schedule, generate, publish and share engaging content daily across Museums Victoria’s multiple social media accounts and platforms, including community management and crisis communications
- Provide administration support for the team
- Assist in monthly social media KPI reporting to ensure the strengthening of Museum Victoria’s social media presence
- Assist Marketing Officers and Managers in the collation, design and delivery of Museums Victoria’s subscriber eDM’s as well as any related acquisition and retention tactics/strategies
- Assist in the production of museum collateral and signage
Relevant skills and attributes
- Good marketing and branding knowledge and experience, with a sound understanding of digital marketing practices and integration with overall marketing plans
- Proven administrative experience with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks
- A self-motivated individual with the desire to thrive within a new role, building experience and competency
- Ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- A strong eye for detail and the ability to deliver assets with aesthetic excellence
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
