Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking an experienced communications specialist capable of planning and managing highly effective media and public relations campaigns and strategies.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The primary responsibility of this position will be the development and implementation of communications campaigns and activities that increase awareness of Museums Victoria’s (MV) profile, promote visitation and advance MV’s reputation in curatorial and research excellence among key external stakeholder groups, including local, state and national media and government and funding agencies.

ABOUT THE APPLICANT:

The successful application will be highly creative in planning and delivering integrated communications campaigns across a broad range of channels. They will be highly proficient and proactive in utilising all forms of broadcast mediums and digital platforms. They will understand the needs and interests of target audiences and have excellent relationship building skills. They will also be a team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
