The Australian Museum (AM) operates within the NSW Department of Justice and was founded in 1827 and is the first museum in Australia. The AM provides access, engagement and scientific research to increase our understanding of natural history and culture, particularly of the Australasian region. About the role
The Media & Communications Advisor works as part of a dynamic team focused on raising the profile of the AM’s many programs, exhibitions and research initiatives. The role develops and delivers communications campaigns across owned and earned media, with a particular focus on PR and publicity strategies. The successful candidate will join the organisation at an exciting time in the AM’s development, and as such will demonstrate significant experience in delivering high yield media campaigns and a focus on delivering creative solutions.
Essential Requirements
As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in communications and publicity delivery, including highly developed networks within the media.
- Adequate knowledge and experience in order to deliver the Key
- Accountabilities and perform to the Focus Capabilities outlined in the Role Description.
