Special General Meeting Result, Museums & Galleries Australia, 27 November 2018

Message to members 

On Monday evening, 50 members from around Australia gathered at the Special General Meeting held at the Canberra Museum and Gallery to vote on the motion for a new name for your organisation.  I am very pleased to announce that 82% of the votes cast (both those present at the meeting and from the 105 members who sent proxies) approved that we change the name in our constitution.

Welcome to the Australian Museums and Galleries Association (AMaGA). The name will be launched officially in January 2019.

National Council believes we have taken an important step towards a clear and inclusive national identity for the organisation that will strengthen our presence and our advocacy.
