Manager, Marketing and Communications, History Trust of SA

We are looking for a strategic and experienced marketing specialist to develop, plan and lead our strategic marketing programs, manage highly effective media and public relations campaigns and communications strategies.

The Opportunity
The Manager, Marketing & Communications is responsible for planning, leading and implementing marketing, internal and external strategic communications and public relations programs, projects and functions for the broad range of History Trust of SA assets and brands.

Key components of the role

  • Develop, plan and lead strategic integrated marketing and communication programs that leverage digital and traditional platforms to support the breadth of work across the History Trust through its programs, storytelling initiatives and public-facing museums.
  • Design, plan, coordinate and deliver complex and sensitive digital marketing and communication campaigns that are both strategic and tactical and engage audiences with the History Trust, its museums, its exhibitions, programs and fundraising campaigns.
  • Lead, plan and manage the efficient and effective delivery of a range of public relations initiatives and services that develop brand awareness, meet engagement targets and contribute to visitation growth.

Special Conditions
Some out of hours work may be required. Occasional weekend work may be required. Engagement in this role is subject to a satisfactory Department of Human Services Working with Children Check. Intrastate and interstate travel may be required and a current driver’s licence is essential.

Essential Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications or relevant extensive experience.
