Sovereign Hill is a dynamic group of museums presenting the mining, social, cultural and environmental heritage of the Ballarat region and its impact on Australia’s history. The Creative and Design Department incorporates the Creative, Graphics and Design Team as well as the Times Office and Red Hill Photographic Rooms which is located in the “Main Street” of the outdoor museum, and depicts a photographic shop from the 1850s. We are seeking a dedicated individual to work collaboratively and proactively to grow the Red Hill Photographic Rooms and lead the staff with a focus on service excellence.
The Manager Red Hill Photographic Rooms is responsible overseeing and coordinating the operations of the Photographic rooms, including Itinerant Photographers, maintaining quality in technical presentation, customer service and historical authenticity. To be successful in this role we are looking for individuals who have:
- Proven experience within a supervisory or management role
- Advanced experience using digital photography and software packages
- Prior use of rostering programs
- A genuine desire to work alongside your team and be on the floor coaching performance
