The Mine Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting with overseeing the day to day activities of the Mine Operations by providing leadership to and assisting with, training of new and existing employees, and assisting with daily mine operational requirements.
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience as a Mine Guide with the confidence and ability to provide informative tours to groups of all sizes abilities and nationalities is essential
- Must have detailed knowledge of all areas within the mine operations
- Ability to translate mining technical details into interesting and understandable terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a pleasant outgoing personality and a genuine liking for people
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to continuous improvement
- Must present in a professional manner at all times and be able to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner
- Ability to deliver training programs
- Ability to work flexible hours to provide information and assist with training across a range of shifts
- Sound knowledge and understanding of mining history and processes
- Knowledge and understanding of OHS Mining Regulations is highly desirable
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office
Qualifications and Clearances
- A Certificate III or higher in guiding, tourism and/or management
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment would be highly regarded
- Working with Children Check
- Police Check
- Pre-Employment Medical
- Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate
