CAMD members have been invited by the Museums Australia (MA) National Executive and Andrew Sayers, Director, National Museum of Australia (NMA) to participate in a National Summit with representatives of the Federal Office for the Arts on Thursday 16 May from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the NMA.

The invitation-only Summit will discuss the ramifications of the announcement in Creative Australia of an initiative to establish “a national network of museums and galleries”. It will be jointly facilitated by Andrew Sayers and Sally Basser (First Assistant Secretary, Office for the Arts).

An invitation will be issued to the new Minister for the Arts, Tony Burke to participate in the Summit.

To accommodate the timing of the Summit, the CAMD General Meeting on Thursday 16 May will now commence at 2:00pm.
