AIDC-MOVES-TO-MELBOURNE-IN-The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) will play host to the international documentary industry when the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) relocates to Melbourne in 2016.

The AIDC struck a deal with the Victorian Government through Film Victoria and ACMI to relocate the event to Melbourne after eight years in Adelaide, South Australia.

The annual NET-WORK-PLAY event is a major screen industry convergence comprising a conference, market and screening program. It brings together around 600 Australian and international delegates from across the factual film, television and digital media sectors.

Director and CEO of ACMI, Katrina Sedgwick, said today; “ACMI is delighted to be working closely with the Australian International Documentary Conference as it moves NET-WORK-PLAY to Melbourne and to host it within our walls. This partnership not only builds on ACMI’s existing industry engagement and boosts our longstanding links with Film Victoria but underlines our commitment to the Australian documentary industry across our diverse programs. We look forward to welcoming hundreds of delegates to ACMI from across Australia and around the world to celebrate and explore the challenges, opportunities and trends for documentary film making next year.”
