Duties

The Objects Conservator performs and documents professional preventive and remedial conservation work on objects in the National Collection including objects made of metals, ceramics, wood, plastics, glass and stone. The work includes: survey, treatment and preventive conservation of the above materials; participation in multi-disciplinary teams to implement conservation, preservation and exhibition programs; and the implementation of new or improved conservation processes and techniques to prepare objects for preservation, access and display.
