ABOUT THE POSITION:
The position is accountable for contributing to the effective operation of the Melbourne Museum through the provision of efficient and timely business, data management and operational support. This will be achieved through the effective planning, management and resolution of operational issues. The position plays a pivotal role in collaborating with other Museum departments and stakeholders.
Skills and experience required for this position include:

A good understanding of, and sound experience with, financial systems, including he MS Office suite, Customer Relationship Management applications, and procedures, including demonstrated experience in providing business planning and support.

Demonstrated experience in providing high level in-confidence support, including the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Demonstrated experience in the effective planning of significant public events with the ability to liaise with event organisers, internal and external stakeholders, and resolve operational issues, to deliver mutually shared outcomes.

Demonstrated experience in managing small to medium projects under limited direction.

High level communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with senior management.
