Operations Manager, Road to Zero (TAC Road Safety Education Complex)

Australia’s largest public museum organization is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and manage Road to Zero (TAC Road Safety Education Complex), its staff and associated programs. The Operations Manager is accountable for leading and managing Road to Zero venues (including the Experience Space, Learning Studios, and Outreach Program), its staff and associated programs. This will include working with related stakeholders and partners, ongoing innovation and development, and the achievement of business objectives. This position will apply systems and procedures which align with both the Museum’s and TAC’s Vision, Mission and Values. This will require working collaboratively with both agencies.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Operations Manager is accountable for leading and managing Road to Zero venues (including the Experience Space, Learning Studios, and Outreach Program), its staff and associated programs. This will include working with related stakeholders and partners, ongoing innovation and development, and the achievement of business objectives. This position will apply systems and procedures which align with both the Museum’s and TAC’s Vision, Mission and Values. This will require working collaboratively with both agencies.

Notable skills and experiences:

  1. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership of a multi-disciplinary team.
  2. Extensive experience in the development of operational strategies, systems, policies and procedures.
  3. Demonstrated experience within the attractions, education or cultural sector (ie planning, developing, implementing and evaluating) managing innovative programs that meet the needs of diverse audiences and business goals.
  4. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels and a proven capacity to develop effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
