Duties

The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a professional to join the Gallery Management and Development team as a Permanent Galleries Coordinator to manage the maintenance, changeover and delivery of exhibit elements to provide a high quality visitor experience in the Museum’s permanent galleries.

The successful candidate will manage the maintenance, changeover and delivery of new exhibit elements for the Museum’s permanent galleries. The incumbent will also play an important role in the Museum’s gallery development program, coordinating whole of gallery decanting and providing expertise on operational requirements for new galleries. The incumbent will undertake project management of gallery projects, including taking responsibility for design and fabrication contractors, the development of budgets, procurement strategies, work procedures and schedules.
