We are looking for a passionate and collaborative Philanthropy & Grants Officer who is interested in joining a leading NSW Government agency focused on creating a living future for the past so that our visitors can experience Sydney’s past as if they had lived it themselves.

Sydney Living Museums (SLM) cares for a group of 12 of the most important historic houses, gardens and museums in NSW on behalf of the people of NSW.

Our purpose is to enrich and revitalise people’s lives with Sydney’s living history, and to hand the precious places in our care and their collections on to future generations to enjoy.
What you’ll do with us
This role assists with the management of donor and external grants opportunities to grow philanthropy enabling Sydney Living Museums’ to meet its strategic objectives and mission.

What the essential requirements of the role are:
- Three years’ plus experience working with donors, High Net Worth individuals, corporate donors and trusts, grant making bodies, private foundations and/or working in corporate philanthropy.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse internal and external constituencies in a wide variety of settings.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and confidence in preparing and delivering compelling presentations, pitches, proposals to potential donors and donor organisations.
- Highly developed skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), databases and CRM systems.
- Passion to make a positive impact in the community and a willingness to work within Sydney Living Museum’s values and behaviours to advance its mission.
