As one of Sydney’s most visited museums, the Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM) is committed to being a world leader in maritime history, sharing the national maritime story across Australia and providing a must-visit museum experience. Starting with the opening of the ANMM’s Warships Pavilion, the museum is undergoing a major onsite transformation.

We are looking for a self-directed, client focused individual to join our photography team. This role will produce digital images for collection digitisation, museum outreach, marketing and promotion purposes. The successful candidate will support the senior photographer in delivery of digital image assets or other digital media of maritime historic materials in accordance with the digitisation strategy.

What we are looking for in you:

We are looking for someone with a passion to produce quality digital photographs. Has good knowledge of photographic equipment and photographic software such as Photoshop, Fotostation, Adobe Bridge, TMS or similar collection management application etc. Experience in studio based object photography, the application of photographic metadata, including filing using a photographic library software and uploading and interfacing with collection management system to meet the needs of an online cataloguing and digitization project.
