ABOUT THE POSITION
The Assistant Manager, Ticketing Operations supports and optimises Museums Victoria’s Ticketing Operations by coordinating the development, delivery and review of key ticketing activities and services. The role ensures the efficient design and management of ticket sales, revenue collection and reporting through the effective administration of Museums Victoria’s primary admissions Ticketing System and associated databases. The position supports the ongoing improvement of ticketing service delivery, assures ticket pricing aligns with relevant policies and procedures, and works collaboratively across departments to identify and prioritise current and future ticketing needs and facilitate the implementation of approved actions.
Some of the key duties include:
- Perform key support responsibilities for the management of the Ticketing System to support a seamless experience for visitors purchasing tickets.
- Manage ticket creation processes, revenue collection processes, and data generation and reporting capabilities of the Ticketing System.
- Design, develop and produce system statistics and reports on ticket sales, visitation numbers, visitor demographics and education bookings.
- Lead and participate in internal forums to advise on authorised use of the ticketing system and implement approved system design changes.
- Monitor and ensure alignment of ticketing structures and pricing with approved delegations, policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement improvements that utilise and extend the capabilities of the Ticketing System in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain effective relationships with the external Ticketing Vendor to support system improvements and updates.
- Support Ticketing Administration Officers to ensure accurate and efficient ticket sales, redemption and reporting.
- Maintain business rules, procedures and training materials for ticketing system administration and deliver training to system users.
- Ensure compliance with Museums Victoria policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
The successful applicant will have:
- Extensive experience in the design, front-end management and administration of ticketing systems, preferably BOS.
- Excellent conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience developing reports and effectively presenting results (knowledge of SQL and Power BI is an advantage).
- Experience developing and implementing operational procedures and staff training programs.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team, including collaborating, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to high-level service delivery.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
- A National Police Records Check and Working with Children Check (successful applicant required to obtain).
