The Sovereign Hill Museums Association is a not-for profit community-based organisation that includes: Sovereign Hill Outdoor Museum, Sovereign Hill Hotel, AURA and Narmbool, the Australian Centre for Rare Trades and Arts and the Australian Centre for Gold Rush Collections. It cares for a nationally and internationally significant collection of over 150,000 objects and protects the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the Victorian gold rush.
We are an Australian tourism icon that attracts some 500,000 visitors annually. The Outdoor Museum is internationally renowned as a living museum featuring rare trades, and programs and experiences that interpret a pivotal point in Australia’s history. In all, some 350 staff work to bring our gold-rush story to life. They are supported by over 250 volunteers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development & CRM Executive to lead and attract domestic leisure groups—faith-based, sporting, cultural, and beyond -by offering tailored experiences that drive toward a target of 7,000+ visitors in the first year. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving revenue growth by working with membership-based organisations, strategic partnerships and developing compelling group offers. Additionally, this role will be instrumental in
leading the implementation and optimisation of Salesforce CRM across the organisation, ensuring its effective use in fundraising and donor management, leisure and education sales, and marketing.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive Domestic Group Visitation and Revenue
- Develop and Strengthen Key Ticketing Partnerships
- Enhance Market Presence and Brand Awareness
- Guide the relevant teams through configuration, use and best-practice inSalesforce CRM.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Tourism, or a related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
