3 Divisional Coordinator roles available, 1 role per division.
We are looking for three Divisional Coordinators to support The Office of the Director and CEO, The Office of Chief of Staff, and Corporate Services.
The Divisional Coordinator provides administrative and support services to facilitate the operations of their assigned division and collaborates effectively with other divisions. Also liaises with other internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the relevant Division and is an active participant in Museum projects.
Employment Status:
- Clerk Grade 3/4
- Fixed term 2 years, with the potential to convert to ongoing
- Full time 35 hours per week

You will be paid a competitive annual salary $79,032 – $86,539, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation (currently 11.5%) and annual leave loading.
About the divisions
The Director and CEO is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the Australian Museum. The Office of the Director and CEO provides a broad range of assistance and support to the Director and CEO and the Australian Museum Trust in delivery of the Australian Museum’s strategic objectives, ensuring that all administrative and operational matters are prioritised and handled efficiently and effectively, within a fast-paced environment that requires discretion and confidentiality.
The Office of the Chief of Staff provides oversight over the strategic direction of the Australian Museum and the Corporate Strategic Plan, managing the following teams; Legal, Master Planning, Audit & Risk and Development (Philanthropy) as well as Public Affairs and Government Relations. This Division engages a wide and varied group of stakeholders that assists the Australian Museum to reach its strategic objectives and concisely elevate and promote the Museum’s impacts and effectiveness.
The Corporate Services Division of the Australian Museum is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team essential to the Museum’s daily operations across all sites. This Division handles a wide range of responsibilities, including Sustainability, Security, Procurement, Program Management, Information Technology and Communications, Asset Management, Records Management, Collection Systems, and Building Infrastructure. The Division ensures Accessibility and Inclusion, providing the best possible Museum experience for all. Every day, the team tackles new operational challenges while advancing long-term strategic priorities, ensuring the Australian Museum fulfills its mission as the leading voice for the richness of life, Earth, and culture in Australia and the Pacific.
About you
You will have experience supporting senior executives and be comfortable working with various stakeholders and be a contributor to various projects.
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 apps and services including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc
- Experience with Tessitura, HPE Content Manager and myWorkZone is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to attend after hours events as required
For The Office of the Director and CEO
- Provide a range of administrative and support services, including records management, routine correspondence, processing financial transactions, meeting and event coordination, to support the Director and CEO and Senior Executive Assistant.
For The Office of Chief of Staff
- Project coordination experience with simple research, analysis and reporting
For Corporate Services
- Experience with budget and forecasting
- Project coordination experience
