Call for Expressions of Interest
Board of Trustees of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery
The Department of State Growth invites expressions of interest from individuals who have a demonstrable passion for Tasmania and the arts and museum sectors and interested in being considered for appointment as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG).
The Board is a body corporate and an instrumentality of the Crown. Board appointments are made by the Minister for the Arts.
The Board’s strategic functions, powers and other relevant information are detailed in the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery Act 2017 (the Act).

Applications are encouraged from people with experience across a range of areas including capital projects, public private partnerships, commercial operations, natural science and philanthropic activities, including from people with strong research and collections experience.
Candidates are expected to have strong governance and strategic thinking skills with prior board or committee experience.
