About the Role 

The Australian Museum (AM) is seeking a highly organised and proactive professional to provide administrative and event support for the AM Eureka Prizes.

This role is central to the successful delivery of the 2026 Eureka Prizes program, supporting finalist management, event coordination and communications across a fast-paced and high-profile project.

Employment Status:

  • Clerk Grade 3/4
  • Fixed Term up to end of June 2026
  • Full Time, 35 hours a week

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented administrator with strong event coordination experience and excellent stakeholder management skills. You excel at managing multiple priorities, communicating clearly with diverse audiences, and delivering quality work under deadline pressure. You’re a collaborative team player who takes initiative and maintains high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft office suite products is essential, in particular Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication skills – experience writing clear, concise and compelling communications for a variety of audiences and mediums.
  • Experience delivering a broad range of administrative tasks to ensure the successful delivery of a project or program within a set time-frame.
  • Experience working on the planning and delivery of large scale in-person events (min. 200 attendees).
  • Experience delivering a high standard of customer service to a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience managing your own workload and time to successfully deliver a range of tasks within a set time frame and budget.
  • Previous experience working with Tessitura and Award Force is desirable.
