We’re currently seeking a motivated and collaborative Business Development Manager to lead our Partnerships and Philanthropy team. In this role, you’ll build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners around the world to grow funding opportunities, strengthen our capabilities, expand our STEM reach, and help create a more connected STEM community.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Partnerships and Philanthropy team, including oversight and management, setting strategic objectives, undertaking effective performance reviews and fostering a culture of continuous development.
  • Provide strategic oversight and direction for partnerships and philanthropic initiatives, ensuring alignment with Scitech’s strategy, goals and financial sustainability
  • Lead the development, presentation and execution of strategic growth initiatives to strengthen Scitech’s impact, diversify revenue streams and enhance long-term financial sustainability.
  • Oversee the development of tailored proposals, pitches and partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and organisational operational capacity.
  • Build and maintain influential relationships with corporate, government and philanthropic stakeholders, positioning Scitech as a trusted partner in STEM education and innovation.

 

Who are we looking for? 

We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate continuous and consistent commitment to following through on promises to external stakeholders. Additionally, someone who demonstrates effective leadership skills in a management role with capabilities to manage, collaborate and hold a high performing team accountable.

Other skills and experience required include:

  • Extensive experience in business development, partnership development and/or philanthropy
  • Extensive experience in negotiating partnerships and agreements using different communication methodologies.
  • Experience in the preparation of funding submissions and reviewing funding contracts.
  • Experience in preparing professional reports including review and analysis.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering strategic growth plans, including mapping of existing partners.

 

Qualifications and Licences include:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communications or similar is desirable
  • Experience in Not for Profit or Philanthropic organisations is desirable
