The Marketing Manager, World Science Festival Brisbane (WSFB) plays a pivotal role in planning, developing, and delivering innovative and effective marketing campaigns for both WSFB and the regional World Science Festival Queensland (WSFQ) programs in Ipswich, Toowoomba, Gladstone, Chinchilla and Townsville.
Reporting to the Head, Marketing and Audiences, the role manages all external-facing marketing communications for the festival, including integrated media campaigns, digital content, ticketing, signage, and audience research. It is also responsible for ensuring campaign activities are delivered on time, within budget and meet stakeholder expectations and approval processes.
The Marketing Manager brings a strong mix of creativity, collaboration and project management to lead multi-channel campaigns that drive attendance, enhance audience experience and contribute to revenue and engagement targets. This includes managing regional marketing rollouts in partnership with local teams, and leading the development of tailored messaging, promotional materials and advertising assets for diverse audiences – including families, schools, arts and science communities, and the general public.
The role also oversees the production of campaign materials and digital programming, manages external contractors, and ensures brand and messaging consistency across all touchpoints. Data-driven thinking is essential, with responsibility for developing and applying audience research insights to refine strategy and fulfil reporting obligations.
