The key duties of the position include:
The National Museum of Australia (the Museum) are looking to seek, attract, develop and retain a diverse, enthusiastic and high-performing workforce. To help us in achieving this, we are maintaining a Section 26 register.
The register is only open for interested ongoing Australian Public Service (APS) employees that are looking for employment opportunities in either an ongoing (at-level) and/or temporary capacity (non-ongoing, at level or with higher duties) at the Museum. The register may be used to fill positions at the APS1 to APS6 classification or Executive Level 1 and Level 2 classifications.

Eligibility:
To be eligible to apply for a vacancy, applicants must:
- be employed as an ongoing APS employee.
- an Australian citizen (as outlined under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999)
- undergo pre-employment checks, including a police records check.
- satisfy a probation period.
