Job Description:
The Sovereign Hill Museums Association is excited to welcome a Casual Retail Customer Service Officer to our team. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to provide high-level customer service to our retail customers in an iconic association well-loved by the local and international community. The right candidate will possess a passion for heritage, culture and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service in a retail environment.
- Utilise product knowledge to promote and sell products and services offered by the Sovereign Hill Museums Association.
- Facilitate all customer queries professionally and efficiently, maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist in inventory management, including stocktaking and restocking activities.
- Work in line with the organizational procedures, rules and policies.
- Collaborate with team members and support the management team as required.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Ensure all activities are aligned with the health and safety procedures set by the association.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail environment or in a customer service role is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to make decisions independently.
- Strong problem-solving capacity and ability to handle challenging customer interactions.
- A flexible approach to work (weekends, public holidays) as per retail business requirements.
- Proficiency in using retail software and EFTPOS systems is desirable.
- A keen interest in or knowledge about heritage and culture is a plus.
