About the role

The Senior Preparator is responsible for the preparation of a full range of biological materials for exhibition, installation of exhibits, specimens, and dioramas, technical problem solving, the provision of training for junior staff, and provision of technical support for other departments.

This position is also responsible for the Preparatory workshop area including Occupational Health and Safety requirements, and maintenance of all records.

  • Have relevant taxidermy and model-making experience.
