ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Tourism & Events Support Officer provides project coordination and administrative support to the Tourism, Premium Visitation & Special Events department, enabling the effective planning and delivery of ticketed events, tours and premium experiences that drive visitation and revenue across our venues. The role ensures the smooth administrative and operational coordination of tourism products and special events from inception to delivery — supporting project planning and tracking, stakeholder liaison, operational logistics and reporting, and working across internal teams and external partners to keep projects on time, on budget and on brief.
Some of the key duties include:
- Project administration: day-to-day support across projects, including organising and minuting meetings, tracking tasks and approvals, preparing pricing proposals and briefs, and project-related financial administration.
- Stakeholder coordination: liaising with internal and external stakeholders so accurate, timely information supports the scheduling, delivery, ticketing setup and marketing of tourism products and events.
- Event operational support: coordinating venue and event service bookings, drafting event plans, timelines and run sheets, and providing occasional on-site coordination.
- Tourism product coordination: operational planning of scheduled and bespoke tourism products, including costing, itinerary and run sheet preparation, script administration and internal supplier arrangements.
- Reporting and documentation: compiling data for departmental reports including weekly ticket sales, monthly tourism operator sales, funding submissions and internal presentations.
