Powerhouse
Join the Powerhouse Castle Hill and Visitor Services team as a Visitor Host, delivering exceptional experiences across public programs, tours and events. In this front‑facing role, you will welcome visitors, provide information about exhibitions and activities, and help create an inclusive, accessible and engaging environment for all guests. Working closely with teams across the museum, you will support the smooth delivery of programs while playing an important role in site safety and emergency procedures. This position sits within a small, collaborative team and is committed to outstanding customer service. You’ll bring strong communication skills and the ability to engage visitors in meaningful conversations, adapting to the needs of diverse audiences. With a positive and patient approach, you’re willing to go above and beyond to ensure every visitor enjoys a memorable experience. To succeed in this role, you’ll have customer service experience, to work confidently within a multi‑disciplinary team. We have part-time positions and additional casual opportunities.

Powerhouse Museum is located at the intersection of arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. It is the custodian of more than half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia. We are undertaking a landmark $1.3 billion infrastructure renewal program, led by the creation of Powerhouse Parramatta; expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill; the heritage revitalisation of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo; and the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory.
