We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dynamic Program Curator who will lead the Vitocco Legacy Project and play an integral role in the development and delivery of Powerhouse Food programs. The successful candidate will be a skilled researcher and creative storyteller who will connect with Southwestern Sydney communities through innovative programs and collected histories. With demonstrated curatorial expertise, critical writing ability and strong project management skills, you will be confident working independently to deliver projects from concept to completion. This role offers an opportunity to shape meaningful narratives, strengthen community connections and contribute to the transformative vision for one of Australia’s most significant cultural institutions.
About Powerhouse
Powerhouse Museum is located at the intersection of arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. It is the custodian of more than half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia. We are undertaking a landmark $1.3 billion infrastructure renewal program, led by the creation of Powerhouse Parramatta; expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill; the heritage revitalisation of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo; and the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory.
