Post-Processing Officer (Collection Digitisation)

The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences sits at the intersection of art, design, science and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues.

The Powerhouse Program is one of the largest cultural infrastructure projects currently being undertaken in the country.  The Program includes four key projects; the establishment of the Powerhouse Precinct at Parramatta, the expansion of the Powerhouse collection facilities in Castle Hill, the establishment of the Powerhouse Creative Industries Precinct in Ultimo and the Collection Relocation and Digitisation (CRD) of over 300,000 objects from the Powerhouse collections. This position is focused on the Digitisation Phase of the CRD Project.

The Post-Processing Officer (Collection Digitisation) is responsible for editing, renaming and delivering high quality digital records of collection items using a range of digital editing and file management software. Digital assets produced will deliver electronic access to the collections and support long term preservation of the digital collection.

The Post-Processing Officer facilitates the delivery of quality digital image and video files as part of the Collection Relocation and Digitisation Project.
