Duties
The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a professional to join the Property Operations team as the Program Manager, with oversight and accountability for the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of Museum properties (leased and owned), and related services.
The position is responsible for leading and managing the Property and Security teams, and for the efficient and effective delivery and management of the full range of property management services in support of the Museum’s objectives and programs. These include, but are not limited to:
- Relationship development with other business areas within the Museum and other cultural agency counterparts
- Contract development and negotiations
- Building operations – property management, recurrent preventative and statutory maintenance, breakdown repairs and maintenance, refurbishments and fit-outs
- Overseeing core operational contracts including facilities maintenance, security services, facilities and security projects, cleaning, vehicle management and pest control
- Property leases, essential services – electricity, water and gas, environmental and energy management
- Accommodation design and planning
- Parking arrangements on Acton Peninsula in consultation with the National Capital Authority
- Overseeing the Museum’s security management framework
- Coordinating the Museum’s Enterprise Risk Management and maintaining the Strategic and Operational Risk Registers
- Quarterly reporting to the Museum’s Council on security, fraud and risk management
- Act as the principle point of contact between the Museum and Comcover, providing advice on the Museum’s insurance cover
- Maintaining the Business Continuity Plan
The Program Manager, Property Operations is responsible for the development and monitoring of budgets, procurement methodologies and strategies, project schedules and the development and management of contracts for the delivery of the full range of facilities management services.
