The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a professional to lead the Collections Development and Information (CDI) Business Unit.

This is a newly created Business Unit that has responsibility for setting the strategic and operational plan for development, documentation and access to the Museum’s collections.

The role will play a key part in balancing long-term obligations to document and represent the nation’s history and society with the need to drive increased audience access, outreach and use of the Museum’s collections and information holdings.

The role presents a unique opportunity to conceptualise and implement industry-leading practices in relation to collection development, acquisition, documentation, digitisation, and library information services that are current, relevant and responsive to the emerging needs of our audiences.

The role will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Museum and most closely with the Curatorial Centres Business Unit and the Collections Care and Management Business Unit. The position will play a significant part in bringing together the collections development, documentation and library functions and building a team to deliver the strategic intent of the Business Unit and broader Museum.
