Position Description

Museum Victoria is seeking two Program Officers, Test Lab, to plan, develop and deliver programs for the Test Lab maker experience in the Special Exhibitions Gallery at Scienceworks. Designed primarily for young people 10 years and up, Test Lab will be a new kind of experience for young visitors to Scienceworks: a pop up space where they can tinker, learn how to prototype and test their ideas, and be inspired by the work and skills of local makers.

ABOUT THE POSITIONS:
These positions are accountable for ensuring that Test Lab program delivery engages Museum Victoria’s audiences and contributes to the Test Lab audience experience at Scienceworks.

Key Selection Criteria:

The successful applicant is required to undergo a Working with Children Check and Police Check and to be assessed as suitable (new employees are required to meet this cost).

OTHER INFORMATION
These are Irregular Part time; fixed term positions until 2 October 2016. The salary on offer is $53,634 (Base of Grade, pro rata) + 9.5% superannuation.

Breakdown:
1 March 16 – 1 June 16; 0.4 FTE (15.2 hrs pw min)
2 June 16 – 10 July 16; 0.8 FTE (30.4 hrs p/w min)
11 July 16 – 16 Sep 16; 0.6 FTE (22.8 hrs p/w min)
17 Sep 16 – 2 Oct 16; 0.8 FTE (30.40 hrs p/w min)
