Programmer – Designated First Nations position

ACMI’s vibrant calendar of exhibitions, screenings, commissions, festivals, and industry and education programs explore the stories, technologies and artists that create our shared screen culture. We are looking for an experienced Programmer to work across our diverse programming team to lead programming activities as part of an integrated public offer.  As our Programmer, First Nations you will seek, secure and nurture creative relationships and partnerships to ensure that ACMIs programs are artistically and culturally vibrant and promote ACMIs leadership in cultural and creative industries.

You will be experienced in producing a broad range of public programs with a passion for the moving image with the ability to navigate Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artistic and cultural practice and communities locally and nationally.  Your extensive knowledge of programming trends, audience engagement and stakeholder management will see you contributing to the success of our new museum.
