Museum Victoria seeks a talented Programs Manager, Science to coordinate the development and delivery of science programs for broad audiences accessing Museum Victoria’s venues and outreach services, including online resources and experiences.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The position is accountable for coordinating the development and delivery of science public programs to ensure that Museum Victoria’s objectives and priorities, particularly audience engagement, are met.

Notable skills and experiences:

  1. Demonstrated experience in the research, development, branding and coordination of public programs for broad and specific audiences.
  2. Knowledge of learning techniques and community development practices for the engagement of broad audiences.
  3. An understanding of public programming in a museum context.
  4. High level interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people; may include community groups, external stakeholders, volunteers and community partners.
  5. Ability to lead project teams and manage issues that arise in the day-to-day delivery of programs and events.
  6. Ability to lead, manage and develop staff.
