Programs Officer, Outreach

Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking a passionate and experienced communicator to join our Outreach team and contribute to the development and delivery of the Outreach learning and reminiscing kit program, based at Melbourne Museum.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The primary responsibility of the Programs Officer, Outreach will be to contribute to the development and day-to-day operation of a range of learning and reminiscing kit programs that engage diverse audiences around Victoria. Museums Victoria’s existing kit program consists of a series of different cases filled with objects and a variety of learning materials that can be hired to engage students and general public with natural science and social history subjects.

Notable skills and experience:

The successful applicant will have a background in working in a cultural organisation and in presenting, interpretation or communication in a history, science, education, aged care or early childhood context.
