Duties
The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and organised design professional to join the Property Projects and Design (PPD) team in the role of Project and Design officer.
The successful candidate will work as part of a small team to deliver quality projects on behalf of the Museum. Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Provide a project coordination role to the PPD section and assist with project development, delivery and coordination, including the review and follow up of action items identified within the project control group meetings.
- Liaise with venues, contractors and consultants in regard to the Museum requirements for the Forecourt project.
- Work with other team members on the documentation for procurement of services for projects as required, and provide contract management assistance.
- Monitor and report against budgets and schedules.
- Assist the whole team to manage information through electronic record keeping systems, databases, contact lists and other information sources.
- Coordinate end to end projects as required.
- Ensure time lines and project scope set by manager are adhered to.
- Present designs to various groups internally.
- Provide design expertise to other business units within the museum as requested and assist with feedback to other design professionals where necessary.
- Prepare documents and amend where necessary for a variety of audiences.
- Oversee the coordination of meetings, minutes and manage the circulation of documentation and update completion of actions to internal staff and contractors.
- Manage and coordinate the repair and maintenance of items identified in the project defects lists, including liaison with contractors and reporting back to internal stakeholders.
- Other tasks as directed.
