Project Communications and Marketing Manager (Melbourne Water x Scienceworks Project)
Working across a project driven by two entities (Scienceworks & Melbourne Water), this candidate should be a highly skilled communicator with developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise and juggle concurrent communication and marketing deliverables in a fast-paced and ever-evolving development project. They should be a self-starter with high-level project management experience to deliver all communication and marketing projects, on time and to budget.
Core duties of this position include:
- Lead and implement stakeholder relations engagement and communications advice, planning, delivery and reviews.
- Develop and implement a communications and PR plan for the project including coordinating related media outreach activities; writing and editing Press & Media releases, listings, speeches, fielding media enquiries, running events and monitoring all associated media coverage.
- Lead, develop and implement a range of strategies and tactics regarding reputation management, issues and crisis management. This includes; providing counsel to management on issues during the project, implementing social media listening and alert tools and processes including community management, formulating consistent messaging and FAQ’s relating to crisis/issues management, liaising with cross functional teams and external stakeholders in crisis response scenarios, developing Sciencework’s positioning on key issues and developing and implementing compelling narratives to advance Sciencework’s corporate reputation as it relates to the project.
- Manage and implement social media strategies, tactics and content publishing schedules relating to the project including generating, editing, publishing and sharing content as they relate to the project across Scienceworks’ and Museums Victoria’s Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts when required.
- Develop and implement marketing plans and recovery campaigns encompassing paid, owned and shared channels that enrich Scienceworks’ reputation and drive visitation and revenue.

Other information
This role is a full-time; fixed term position. The salary on offer is $88,955 per annum + 10% superannuation. The applicant ideally should have experience in construction communications/marketing and or the cultural industry.
