The National Museum of Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced project coordination professional to join the Digital Transformation project. The successful candidate will be a demonstrated high achiever in the digital innovation, cultural, government or commercial sector.

Digital Transformation is a core focus in 2022–23 and requires a new, dedicated team.

This role will support the Museum’s development of a transformative Digital Strategy that integrates the digital innovation and blockchain technology work conducted in 2021.

Part of a small, specialist team, the Project Coordinator will support the team’s collaborative engagement across the Museum, and with external experts, to deliver a vision and strategic roadmap for how the organisation negotiates the digital world.

The core strategy work over the next nine months will be split into two stages.

Stage 1: Discovery involves broad and detailed consultation across the Museum and with key external partners and audiences in the first three months.

Stage 2: Future State consists of detailed concept and strategy development work in the second six months.

The Project Coordinator, Digital Strategy will be responsible for supporting the Head, Digital Innovation & Blockchain Project and the Assistant Director, Digital Transformation, in this strategy work through the following duties: smooth project operations, supporting research, writing, editing, data assessment, analytics, consultation/stakeholder coordination, project reporting and analysis, governance support, timely communications and project administration (such as contract and invoice coordination).

In supporting the Head, Digital Innovation & Blockchain Project and the Assistant Director, Digital Transformation, the Project Coordinator, Digital Strategy will liaise with the Executive Team, Directorate, the Museum Council’s Digital Innovation Working Group, Corporate Management Group and senior staff to ensuring the project’s deliverables are well documented, supported and communicated.
