The focus for this role is the development of the Natural History gallery, Toitū Te Taiao which will be immersed with Mātauranga Māori approaches and indigenous ways of understanding.  The Project Curator Mātauranga Māori will provide specialist knowledge in Mātauranga Māori knowledge systems particularly with an interest in the natural world, the environment and the relationship people have with it. This position will lead in weaving Mātauranga Māori perspectives into the content and concept of this space.

This role will work closely with the Creative Producer and Project Curator Natural Sciences in shaping and informing the content for the new gallery with the primary emphasis on the impact humans have had on the environment, specifically Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa and the Pacific.
