Auckland Museum is a much-loved culture and heritage organisation at the heart of Auckland’s identity, committed to outstanding management of its world-class collections and the employees and volunteers who tell the Museum’s stories. We are Auckland’s home of commemoration as well as the country’s oldest research institution and a major tourist destination.
Auckland Museum has a short fixed-term opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to coordinate the project and programme management, reporting, delivery and completion of building and associated infrastructure works currently underway or planned at the Museum. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract running to the end of June 2020.
To be successful in this role, you will offer:
- A minimum of five years’ experience in project management, with specific building and construction related experience highly advantageous
- Experience and competency dealing with regulatory requirements and regulatory authorities
- A thorough knowledge of various building infrastructure matters including: fire, HVAC, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with Council Consent processes, including Building Consents, Resource Consents and Liquor Licencing
- Proven efficient planning and organisational skills and ability to effectively multitask
- Formal project management or design management training eg Prince2
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, holidays and/or weekends as required
