Auckland Museum is seeking two experienced and highly motivated project managers to join the organisation at an exciting time of redevelopment and renewal. These 16 month fixed term positions will manage the project planning and delivery of Exhibitions and/or Gallery Renewal project. The role is varied as is the working environment and will require open, friendly and effective communication skills, enthusiasm and flexibility.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of three years’ Project Management experience and/or relevant qualifications
  • Experience in project management working with museum collection based exhibitions
  • Experience of working in projects with a structured project management methodology
  • Proven record of managing teams in a project based, cross functional environment
  • Proven experience in contract creation and management of contracts
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite including MS Project
  • Must have a current driver’s licence
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays and/or weekends
  • Hold a passion for dynamic museums and for working in a cross functional team environment
