Job Description

Auckland Museum is currently looking for an Exhibition Project Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for managing exhibition project teams, delivering exhibitions and gallery renewals within agreed approvals processes, on time, on budget, to a high standard, meeting agreed project goals and objectives.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will offer:

  • Exemplary people skills
  • Thorough and demonstrable experience in project management of exhibitions in a museum or gallery environment
  • Have a postgraduate or tertiary qualification in humanities, science, design, communication, education, museum studies or other relevant fields of study
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in Project Management of exhibitions in a museum environment
  • A deep understanding of visitor engagement and exhibition design
  • An understanding of Tikanga Māori and or Pacific is desirable
