Project Manager – Learning and Public Programmes

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Learning & Public Programme team. You will support and manage a small team responsible for ensuring programmes onsite, offsite and online are delivered on time and within budget. Working across a variety of project teams you will ensure that the appropriate processes and procedures are in place to enable effective implementation and realisation of these projects.

As a vital member of the team, you will contribute to the delivery of Learning and Public programmes that are strong at our core, shared and connected through digital channels, and alive in Auckland communities.

To be successful in this role you will have;

  • A minimum of 5 years project management experience in the creative or GLAM sector, preferably with Museum experience, including management of a team.
  • Experience in successful delivery of complex and demanding public programmes onsite, offsite and online, on time and to budget.
  • Providing exemplary leadership and people management of direct reports including recruitment, performance development and retention.
  • Experience of facilitating the co-development of public programmes and partnerships. Providing high level project management skills required of collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and conflicting priorities to set deadlines.
  • Experience in identifying and recommending cost effective solutions. Organising resources to support and meet delivery deadlines.
  • A high level of attention to detail and quality.
  • Highly developed and effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Contract Law experience.
