Museum of Te Papa

Te Papa stands proud as an iconic national building housing the treasures of the nation and is a vibrant destination for both national and international visitors. Biculturalism is a founding philosophy and practice of Te Papa designed to explore the contribution of Māori language and culture to the life, culture and activities of the museum in small and large ways. Te Papa fosters and nurtures cross-cultural capability, the ability of people of different cultural backgrounds to interact with one another in positive and uplifting ways.

Come and work within a small team in our Strategy and Performance Directorate. The Project Management Ofiice at Te Papa is diverse in the projects we deliver – from exhibitions, to public programmes, to commercial activity, to our operational requirements, to maintaining our buildings that house our National taonga.

Te Papa is in the final years of a programme of investing in and upgrading our capital assets, particularly our building and facilities. We are looking for a new team member who enjoys working collaboratively with others, brings a strong work ethic and professional approach to join our project management practice working with our corporate and facilities teams to deliver capital projects.

The work is varied and touches a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

About you:

It’s a given that you have proven project management technical skills, more than six years project management experience and qualifications at Prince two or similar.
