Museum Victoria is seeking a Project Manager to provide Project Management leadership in the development and delivery of capital works projects for Museum Victoria campuses.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
This position is accountable for leading and managing major capital projects within a complex risk, stakeholder, communication, and procurement environment.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated skill and experience in addressing the statutory obligations of buildings, inclusive of those with heritage significance.
- Proven ability to influence a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in project management methodology and the coordination of resources to deliver on agreed outcomes.
- Track record of leading and delivering on complex projects within agreed time frames and budget.
- Adept in providing professional and succinct written and verbal advice relating to capital works and in conveying complex works issues to non-specialist audiences.
- Demonstrated understanding of funding mechanisms and procurement of projects in the government sector.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering conservation and restoration work on listed heritage sites within a live site environment.
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a Project Management Office and working within a governance structure is essential.
- Proven ability to manage consultants including the architect, quantity surveyor, and an external project manager.
- The successful applicant is required to undergo a National Police Records Check and be assessed as suitable (new employees are required to meet this cost).
