Auckland Museum is a much-loved organisation at the centre of Auckland’s identity, committed to outstanding management of its extensive collections and the permanent and volunteer staff who tell the Museum’s stories.
The Project Manager – Building and Infrastructure is responsible for the project management, co-ordination, delivery and reporting of a number of major building and associated infrastructure works currently planned for Auckland War Memorial Museum, outlined in the ‘Future Museum’ Plan. The planned works encompass the ‘base build’ element of a number of spaces within and around the museum, including preparing galleries for renewal and enhancing other spaces within the museum to improve the visitor experience and enhance space efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- The ability to deliver exceptional results through strong communication skills and development of proven and effective professional relationships with a diverse internal and external stakeholder community.
- Well-developed project management skills based on practical experience and the ability to juggle multiple complex projects.
- A thorough knowledge of various building infrastructure matters including: fire, HVAC, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems.
- A proven ability to produce written communication that is clear, concise, and logical.
- A minimum of 7 years professional experience
- Be degree qualified in civil, mechanical engineering, or similar
