Project Manager, Great Melbourne Telescope Restoration
Australia’s largest public museum organization is seeking a Project Manager for the restoration of the Great Melbourne Telescope. The primary responsibility of the Project Manager, Great Melbourne Telescope Restoration will be to manage the completion of phase two of the Great Melbourne Telescope (GMT) Restoration Project over a three-year timeframe. The position will be responsible for ensuring the delivery during this period of specific project outcomes, including completion of major elements of the restoration of the GMT, for which Museums Victoria has received external funding through Creative Victoria and philanthropic trusts.

Notable skills and experiences:
- A proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex technical engineering projects
- A tertiary qualification and proven experience in engineering, project management and/or a related technical field
- Proven, demonstrable leadership, people management, inter-personal and communication skills and experience
In this highly unique role, the successful applicant will demonstrate an excellent grasp of workplace project management and compliance requirements, strong knowledge and application of precision engineering, and a good knowledge of the heritage restoration field. The applicant will demonstrate considerable experience and craft in successfully managing a disparate and complex set of internal and external stakeholders.
