We are seeking a committed team player with excellent administrative and organisational skills to play a vital role in the Museum’s Content and Operations project team, working within a multidisciplinary team to action and monitor project progress.
Conditions
This is a full-time, fixed term vacancy for a period of 12 months, with a possibility of extension until 30 June 2020. There will also be a Pool running for a period of 18 months from the initial appointment. Applicants deemed suitable will be placed into a pool from which full-time, part-time, fixed term or permanent appointments may be made.
Job Description
This position provides project and administrative support to the designated exhibition team within the New Museum project. This includes providing a comprehensive range of project-related administrative, research and financial services to the designated team. Specific responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
- Participates in team process for the creative development of exhibition storylines and content for displays, interactives, multi-media and programming.
- Coordinates the preparation of documents such as agendas, minutes and briefing papers and monitors completion of actions.
- Carries out research and analysis of straightforward issues and makes recommendations to the team for consideration or action.
- Implements financial records procedures and systems, and assists with team budget reporting.
Location
This position is located in central Perth on William Street. You will be ideally located near the underground rail link and within easy walking distance of the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts. There may be occasional work required at other Museum sites in Welshpool, Fremantle and the regions.
