The Museum has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic professional to join the Digital and Content Services team in the role of Publishing Manager. Along with the Program Manager, you will be responsible for setting, shaping and driving the strategy and direction for the Museum’s publishing activities.

You will be expected to develop, oversee and implement forward plans, budgets, contracts and strategy documents for the Museum’s Publishing interests along with developing strategies and ideas to support the Museum’s positioning as a global thought leader. The position supervises a number of staff. The candidate will be responsible for reporting on outcomes across the unit.

Other responsibilities involve undertaking overall programme management duties for publishing projects, including the management of contractors/contributors where appropriate, development and management of budgets, scheduling, procurement strategies and schedules as well as coordinating project meetings and leading collaborative project teams.

You will work cooperatively with the other members of the Business Unit and the broader Museum, to plan and effectively manage the overall Publishing program. The position will involve developing and contributing to relationships with a diverse range of key stakeholders.
