We are seeking and individual with a passion for rare machinery to join out engineering team as Rare Machinery Maintenance.
The Rare Machinery Maintenance Officer is responsible for the care and maintenance of rare machinery across the Sovereign Hill site – in particular, all plant, machinery and equipment associated with the Steam Operations area

The successful applicant must have:
- Demonstrated experience in the servicing and maintenance of rare and/or historical plant & equipment (machinery)
- Demonstrated experience in the maintenance, operations and servicing of plant and equipment associated with Steam Operations
- Experience in the use of hand tools
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Ability to understand and work from plans
- Ability to work unsupervised
Qualifications and checks
- Current Australian manual drivers licence
- Working with Children check
- Police check
- First Aid Certificate would be highly desirable
- Licence to perform high risk work – scissor lift, working at heights etc. is preferred but not essential
- Fully Covid Vaccinated
- Will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical
- Must be eligible to work in Australia
- Previous experience in the preservation, servicing and maintenance of rare and/or historical plant & equipment (machinery)
- Previous experience in the development of maintenance procedures associated with the preservation, servicing and maintenance of rare and/or historical plant & equipment (machinery) highly desirable
